Appliances & Components

Many components in custom trailers are manufactured by third-party suppliers. These are covered by their original manufacturer warranties — not by STC. We can help you locate manufacturer warranty information when available.

Third-party items include appliances, refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, generators, HVAC, hoods, fire suppression, water pumps, water heaters, faucets, axles, hubs, brakes, wheels, tires, jacks, doors, windows, latches, hardware, electrical components, lighting, and customer-supplied equipment.

We Review

We review the claim, purchase date, and documentation. We may request additional photos, videos, or inspection.

Approved Repair

Covered repairs must be approved in writing by STC before work begins. Repairs are completed at our facility or an STC-approved location.

Transportation, towing, shipping, travel, lodging, lost revenue, and downtime are the customer's responsibility and are not covered. Unauthorized or third-party repairs without prior written approval may void coverage.

Owner Maintenance & Care

The trailer owner is responsible for regular inspection, maintenance, safe operation, and proper storage.
Failure to maintain the trailer may void warranty coverage.

Sealing

Inspect sealants, caulking, roof penetrations, doors, windows, and seams

Running Gear

Maintain tires, wheels, bearings, brakes, axles, suspension, and lights

Winterization

Winterize plumbing systems when exposed to freezing temperatures

Equipment

Maintain generators, appliances, HVAC, and third-party equipment per manufacturer specs

Cleaning

Keep the trailer clean and protected from corrosive chemicals

Loading

Important Warranty Terms

Non-Transferable

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Coverage terminates upon sale, transfer, or change of ownership.

No Registration Required

Coverage is automatic from the purchase date. Keep your MCO and bill of sale as your proof of purchase — warranty details live in your online Owner Portal.

New STC Builds Only

This warranty covers new trailers manufactured by STC only. Used, brokered, resold, customer-owned, or third-party trailers are not covered unless stated in writing.

Limitation of Liability

Liability is limited to repair or replacement of covered defects at STC’s discretion. STC is not responsible for incidental, consequential, or economic damages including lost revenue, downtime, towing, travel, or food loss.

Do I need to register my warranty?

No! Your warranty coverage begins automatically from your purchase date. No registration is required. Simply keep your sales documentation for reference when filing claims.

How do I prove my warranty coverage?
Keep your original sales documentation (bill of sale, purchase agreement, or invoice). This serves as proof of purchase date and warranty eligibility. We can also look up your coverage using your trailer VIN and purchase information.
What's not covered by the warranty?
  • Normal wear and maintenance items
  • Damage from misuse or improper maintenance
  • Environmental damage or acts of nature
  • Commercial rental use
Can I transfer my warranty to a new owner?
No, this warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. The warranty terminates upon sale or transfer of the trailer.
Are tires and wheels covered?

Tires are covered by the tire manufacturer’s warranty. Wheels and wheel bearings are considered wear items and are not covered  under our warranty except for manufacturing defects discovered within the first 30 days.

Automatic Warranty Protection — No Registration Required

Every new trailer manufactured by St. Croix Trailers is automatically covered by our limited warranty beginning on the original purchase date. No separate warranty registration is required.

Keep your MCO (Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin) and bill of sale as proof of purchase and warranty start date. Your warranty information and build documentation are available anytime in your online Owner Portal.

This warranty applies only to new trailers manufactured by St. Croix Trailers and sold directly to the original purchaser.

Warranty Coverage

Coverage length depends on the trailer series. The tiers below state the structural, systems, and finish coverage that applies to each series. All coverage begins on the original purchase date and covers defects in St. Croix Trailers workmanship and St. Croix Trailers-manufactured components only.

Dump, Equipment & Deck-Over, and Aluminum (Enclosed & Race) Series

  • 6-Year Limited Structural Warranty — frame, chassis, crossmembers, structural support members, structural framework, and structural welds and joints manufactured by St. Croix Trailers.
  • 2-Year Comprehensive Workmanship Warranty — St. Croix Trailers-installed systems and components, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical workmanship completed by St. Croix Trailers.
  • 3-Year Finish Warranty — factory-applied coatings, paint, finish work, and St. Croix Trailers-installed trim, seals, and hardware.

Food & Concession Series

  • 3-Year Limited Structural Warranty — frame, chassis, crossmembers, structural support members, structural wall and roof framework, and structural welds and joints manufactured by St. Croix Trailers.
  • 1-Year Plumbing Workmanship Warranty — St. Croix Trailers-installed plumbing systems.
  • 2-Year Electrical Workmanship Warranty — St. Croix Trailers-installed electrical systems.

Custom Commercial Series

  • Warranty terms for Custom Commercial builds are defined in, and stated on, your individual build agreement, matched to the build’s construction and intended use.

Structural Warranty Coverage

The structural warranty (6 years on dump, equipment, and aluminum series; 3 years on food and ice house series) covers the following items manufactured by St. Croix Trailers:

  • Main frame and chassis assembly
  • Crossmembers and structural support members
  • Structural wall and roof framework manufactured by St. Croix Trailers
  • Structural welds and joints completed by St. Croix Trailers

This warranty covers defects in St. Croix Trailers workmanship and structural manufacturing only. It does not cover damage caused by overloading, improper towing, misuse, accidents, corrosion, road salt, environmental exposure, unauthorized modifications, or lack of maintenance.

Plumbing Workmanship Coverage (Food & Concession, Ice House)

The 1-year plumbing workmanship warranty (food & concession and ice house series) covers St. Croix Trailers-installed plumbing systems, which may include:

  • Fresh water and waste water plumbing installation
  • Sink drain and supply line installation
  • Water pump installation
  • Water heater installation
  • Tank connection workmanship
  • Plumbing leaks caused by St. Croix Trailers installation defects

Third-party plumbing components, including pumps, water heaters, tanks, faucets, valves, fittings, and other purchased components, are covered by their original manufacturer warranty only.

Freezing damage, improper winterization, lack of maintenance, customer modifications, misuse, clogs, tank damage, pump failure, and damage caused by improper operation are not covered.

Electrical Workmanship Coverage (Food & Concession, Ice House)

The 2-year electrical workmanship warranty covers St. Croix Trailers-installed electrical systems, which may include:

  • Wiring installation completed by St. Croix Trailers
  • Breaker panel installation
  • Outlet and switch installation
  • Lighting circuit installation
  • Electrical connections completed by St. Croix Trailers

Third-party electrical components, including lights, outlets, breakers, panels, generators, appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration units, fire suppression components, and other purchased equipment, are covered by their original manufacturer warranty only.

Damage caused by improper generator use, power surges, improper shore power, water intrusion, customer modifications, overloaded circuits, misuse, or third-party repairs is not covered.

Comprehensive Workmanship Coverage (Dump, Equipment, Aluminum)

The 2-year comprehensive workmanship warranty covers St. Croix Trailers-installed systems and components on dump, equipment, and aluminum series, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical workmanship completed by St. Croix Trailers. Third-party components are covered by their original manufacturer warranty only. Damage from misuse, overloading, improper operation, customer modification, or third-party repair is not covered.

Fit & Finish Coverage

The finish warranty (3 years on dump, equipment, and aluminum series; 1 year on food and ice house series) covers fit and finish items installed or fabricated by St. Croix Trailers, which may include:

  • St. Croix Trailers-installed doors and concession windows
  • Factory-installed trim
  • Factory-installed seals and hardware
  • Factory-applied coatings, paint, or finish work
  • Interior finish panels and related installation workmanship

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic scratches, dents, chips, fading, road debris damage, corrosion, road salt damage, cleaning chemical damage, customer damage, improper maintenance, or movement caused by normal trailer use.

Paint, coatings, sealants, caulking, trim, and exterior finishes require regular maintenance and inspection by the owner.

Third-Party Components and Equipment

Many components installed in custom trailers are manufactured by third-party suppliers. These items are not manufactured by St. Croix Trailers and are covered only by their original manufacturer warranties.

Third-party components may include, but are not limited to:

  • Appliances
  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • Cooking equipment
  • Generators
  • HVAC and air conditioning units
  • Hoods and fire suppression systems
  • Water pumps
  • Water heaters
  • Faucets and fixtures
  • Axles, hubs, brakes, wheels, and tires
  • Jacks
  • Doors, windows, latches, and hardware
  • Electrical components and lighting fixtures
  • Customer-supplied equipment

St. Croix Trailers may assist customers with manufacturer warranty information when available, but St. Croix Trailers does not extend, replace, or guarantee third-party manufacturer warranties.

What Is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper operation
  • Overloading or improper weight distribution
  • Improper towing or improper hitch setup
  • Accidents, collision, impact, or road hazard damage
  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications
  • Customer-installed or customer-supplied components
  • Lack of maintenance or improper maintenance
  • Freezing damage or failure to winterize
  • Water intrusion caused by lack of maintenance, sealant failure, or owner neglect
  • Rust, corrosion, road salt damage, oxidation, or environmental exposure
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic scratches, dents, chips, fading, or staining
  • Appliances, equipment, or components covered by manufacturer warranty
  • Damage caused by improper generator, shore power, or electrical supply
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning chemicals
  • Lost revenue, lost business, food loss, downtime, towing, travel, lodging, or incidental costs

Step 2 — Coverage Review

St. Croix Trailers will review the claim, purchase date, trailer information, and issue description to determine whether the issue may be covered under this limited warranty. Additional photos, videos, inspections, or documentation may be required.

Step 3 — Inspection and Repair

Warranty repairs must be approved in writing by St. Croix Trailers before any work is performed. Covered warranty work must be completed by St. Croix Trailers or by a repair facility approved in writing by St. Croix Trailers. Unauthorized repairs, third-party repairs, or customer repairs completed without prior written approval may void warranty coverage for the affected system or component.

Transportation and Service Location

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, warranty service is performed at the St. Croix Trailers facility or another repair location approved by St. Croix Trailers.

Transportation, towing, shipping, pickup, delivery, travel, lodging, lost revenue, downtime, and related costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by this limited warranty.

Non-Transferable Warranty

This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Warranty coverage terminates upon sale, transfer, resale, or change of ownership of the trailer.

Used, Brokered, Resold, Customer-Owned, or Third-Party Trailers

This limited warranty applies only to new trailers manufactured by St. Croix Trailers.

Used trailers, brokered trailers, resold trailers, customer-owned trailers, third-party trailers, repair projects, modifications, upgrades, inspections, or trailers not manufactured by St. Croix Trailers are not covered by this limited warranty unless specifically stated in writing.

Any trailer sold “as-is” is sold with no warranty, expressed or implied.

Owner Responsibilities

The trailer owner is responsible for regular inspection, maintenance, safe operation, and proper storage of the trailer.

Owner responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting sealants, caulking, roof penetrations, doors, windows, and seams
  • Maintaining tires, wheels, bearings, brakes, axles, suspension, and lights
  • Winterizing plumbing systems when exposed to freezing temperatures
  • Maintaining generators, appliances, HVAC systems, and third-party equipment
  • Keeping the trailer clean and protected from corrosive chemicals
  • Avoiding overloading and maintaining proper weight distribution
  • Using proper shore power, generator power, and electrical connections
  • Following all manufacturer maintenance requirements for installed components

Failure to properly maintain the trailer may void warranty coverage.

Limitation of Liability

St. Croix Trailers’ liability under this limited warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at St. Croix Trailers’ discretion, of covered defects in St. Croix Trailers workmanship or St. Croix Trailers-manufactured structural components.

St. Croix Trailers is not responsible for incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or economic damages, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost profits, lost business, downtime, food loss, travel costs, towing costs, lodging, rental equipment, or loss of use.

No employee, representative, dealer, contractor, or third party is authorized to modify or expand this warranty unless agreed to in writing by St. Croix Trailers.
